John Ferguson

Managing Partner

John is well known for creating strategic asset management plans, including anchor tenant marketing, tenant cultivation and tenant retention programs. He founded Rainier Real Estate Partners in 2017 to establish a boutique platform for a more personalized and forward-thinking approach to commercial real estate services. His most recent role included leading the commercial property leasing and marketing functions for Golub & Company. He was involved in the firm’s acquisitions and dispositions programs, envisioning and implementing marketing and repositioning plans that maximize the value of investor real estate holdings, while minimizing the occupancy costs. His experience includes roles at J.F. McKinney & Associates, ORIX Real Estate Equities (and its predecessor, Rubloff) and LaSalle Partners.  He earned a B. S. degree from Washington State University, and studied international business and economics at the University of Copenhagen. 

Lenny Turelli

Partner

  • 38 years of experience

Lenny has been in the commercial real estate industry for the past 34 years. He is skilled in negotiating, real estate development, brokerage and strategic planning. His most recent roles include tenant representation and mentoring of associate brokers at both Cresa and Avison Young. He has been involved with tenant representation transactions throughout the country as well as redevelopment deals in both Illinois and Wisconsin.  He has earned various awards and nominations throughout his career for both brokerage and development including Chicago, Broker of the Year and Development awards throughout Lake County. He earned a BA Degree in Management from the University of Iowa.

 

JAMES ARMOUR

First Vice President

  • 10 years of experience

James Armour is a First Vice President at Rainier Real Estate Partners. He began his real estate career at JAB Real Estate, in Chicago, IL, a private equity fund that invests in multi-family assets across the U.S. At the fund, he implemented leasing strategies across the portfolio and assisted with the acquisition and disposition of assets.

After leaving JAB, James sold a portfolio of properties throughout Chicago on behalf of a United States Bankruptcy Trustee. The portfolio consisted of 25 properties, with outstanding debt totaling $25M.

Most recently, James worked at Prairie Realty Advisors, a mortgage banking firm, where he sourced institutional quality debt for all asset types across the country. While at Prairie, he arranged financing for over more than $30M of different asset types.

James is a graduate of Roanoke College, holds an Illinois Broker license and is involved in many civic and philanthropic activities.
